How should children allocate their time to studies during the lockdown?

How miraculously the world has stopped working due to a thing that can’t be seen with a naked eye! I wondered in the beginning how long it could go? A long time has passed and it seems as if we didn’t learn a thing. It feels like we lost a year. Most of us waited for it to be over and then we would get back to our routine. This is where we went wrong. We seemed to lost interest in everything usual that we do in our hectic lives. One day I asked a child, “What is the difference that you found in yourself in a year?” She said that she used to study for about six hours a day even with handling the school and home stuff. I don’t know if I made her realize how much time she has lost but somewhere within we all know that we had let the time go. Most of us became too lazy.

Now, many of us realize that we should have allocated our time wisely. Well, anyway, what is done is done. In this article, we’ll help the children to make a proper schedule for their day. A daily routine timetable chart for students is necessary.

Every child has different conditions around them, right? So, before actually making a schedule, we must learn that how a schedule is made? This will help to make a perfect timetable for students during the lockdown.

How to make the most effective timetable during the lockdown?

  1. Go for a possible schedule- Whenever we make a schedule for ourselves, we are too excited and determined to follow it. Out of such excitement, we allocate our time idiotically. A proper timetable should be possible to complete. If you think, you can make a timetable with 20 hours of study time in it then that’s quite an impossible thing to do as you need a 6-hour sleep. So, a schedule must be possible to be followed. If you try to follow such an impossible timetable, you will end up with disappointment.
  2. Set rest intervals in between- Humans aren’t robots, are they? It’s not like that we’ve just stopped work and ultimately we start the second one. This will tire us a lot and eventually we’ll end up with the idea of not following it. Humans need to rest both physically and mentally.
  3. Do not break the continuity- Whatever you’ve planned must be done now. Stick to your timetable. If you don’t then there is no benefit of making one.
  4. Balance your free time- Enjoyment is important too. In its presence, we do not get mentally tired. Or you can think of doing something which turns out to be productive for you. Every child has a passion instead of studies. You can try putting your feet in it.

As I said earlier that every student has different conditions at home and a specific timetable might not feel suitable to you. You can make your own. But, during this time of lockdown, we will especially guide you to allocate your time wisely.
